To all to whom these presents shall come Greeting Know ye that for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty shillings for every hundred acres hereby granted paid unto our Treasury by WILLIAM RICHARSON, have given and granted and by these presents I give and grant unto the said WILLIAM RICHARSON a tract of land, containing three hundred acres lying and being in our County of Halifax Begining at a persimmon DINKINS' corner then West forty pole to the County Line then by the County Line South thirteen degrees West three hundred an Ninety poles to a W.O. in the line formerly DEANs thence by his line East Seventy Eight poles to a white oak his corner then by his other line South West one hundred and sixty pole to a black oak in said line then East one hundred and twenty pole to a willow oak in DINKINS line then by his line North to the first station as by the plat hereunto annexed doth appear; together with all woods waters mines minerals hereditaments and appurtenances to the said Land belong or appertaining to hold to the said WILLIAM RICHARDSON his heirs and assigns forever yielding and paying to us such sums of money yearly or otherwise as our General Assembly from time to time may direct, Provided always that the said WILLIAM RICHARSON shall cause this grant to be registered in the Registers office of our said County of Halifax within twelve months from the date hereof otherwise the same shall be void and of no effect. In Testimony whereof we have caused our Great seal to be hereunto affixed. Witness RICHARD CASWELL Esquire our Governor Captain General and Commander in Chief at Kingston the first day of March in the fourth year of our Independence and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty two.

To all to whom these presents shall come Greeting.
Know ye that, for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty Shillings for every hundred acres hereby granted, paid into our Treasury by BENJAMIN RICHARDSON have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the said BENJAMIN RICHARDSON a tract of land containing one hundred and twenty seven acres lying and being in the County of Halifax, Beginning at a corner pine in County line then East one hundred and ninety pole to a corner red oak, then South one hundred and twenty pole to another corner red oak, then West eighty pole to WILLIAM WOODS line then North thirty two pole to a white oak, WILLIAM WOODS corner then West along said WOODS line and WILLIAM RICHARDSON's, one hundred and thirty six pole to a corner white oak in the County line then along the County ninety two poles the first station as by the plat hereunto annexed doth appear. Together with all woods, waters, mines, minerals, hereditaments and appurtenances to the said land belonging as appertaining. To hold to the said BENJAMIN RICHARDSON his heirs and assigns forever. Yielding and paying to us such sums of money, yearly or otherwise as our general assembly, may from time to time direct, provided always that the said BENJAMIN RICHARDSON shall cause this grant to be registered in the Registers office of our said County of Halifax within twelve months from the date hereof otherwise the same shall be void and of no effect. In testimony whereof we have caused these our letters to be make patent, and our great seal to be hereunto affixed. This Indenture made this third day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & ninety two between JAMES WEAVER of the county of Halifax & the state of North Carolina of the one part and WILLIAM PULLEN of the county & state aforesaid of the other part, witnesseth that the said WILLIAM PULLEN for and in consideration of the sum of thirty pounds secie, paid to him in hand, before the sealing & delivering of the receipt hereby the said JAMES WEAVER acknowledge thereof & forever discharge the said WILLIAM PULLEN his heirs, admnrs, & assigns, hath given, granted, bargained & sold allowed & confirmed and by these presents doth give, grant & sell & confirm to the said WILLIAM PULLEN his heirs & assigns forever, one certain tract of land, lying & being in the county of Halifax on the South side of Conway Creek, then by GILBERT's line & course continue 466 West to a red oak saplin in ABRAHAM BRINKLEY's line & course 288 pole to a pine in LAWRENCE WINFIELD's line East 92 pole to his corner, the by his other line East 22 pole to a pine his corner ABRAHAM BRINKLEY's line then by his line W 100 pole to a poplar his corner in a small branch, then down the branch 40 pole to the creek, the first station. It being one hundred & sixty acres of land more or less, transferred from JAMES WEAVER to the said WILLIAM PULLEN. Together with all houses, orchards, gardens, woods, underwoods, tenement, appurtenances, Revercion and revercion[sic], rents & services, present thereof and also all the right, estate, property, title or claim & demand whatsoever of him the said WEAVER, of in or to the same, or any part or parcel thereof. To have & to hold the said tract or parcel of land and premises thereof, with the only proper use & belief thereof, the said WILLIAM PULLEN, his heirs & assigns forever and for the said named JAMES WEAVER himself his heirs, the above tract or parcel of land, & every part or parcel thereof, with all & every the appurtenances against him, his heirs, or all other persons whatsover, the said PULLEN his heirs or assigns forever, shall will warrant & forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof the said JAMES WEAVER hath hereunto set his hand & affixed his seal, third day of May 1792.

This Indenture made this seventh day of February in the year of our Lord, one thousand, seven hundred and ninety five between JOHN RICHARDSON of the County of Halifax of the one part & WILLIAM BRINKLEY of the county aforesaid on the other part, Witnesseth that the said JOHN RICHARDSON for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds to him in hand hath bargained and sold, and the said WILLIAM BRINKLEY one certain tract or parcel of land, lying & being in the county aforesaid, and the North side of Falling Creek, bounded as follows, beginning where the said BRINKLEY's line crosses Falling Creek above the said JOHN RICHARDSON's plantation, thence own the various courses of said Creek to the said BRINKLEY's other line thence bounded by the said BRINKLEY's lines to the first station, containing one hundred acres more or less being all the land the said JOHN RICHARDSON held on the North side of said Falling Creek, and the said JOHN RICHARDSON, as for myself, my heirs &c, do bargain & fore sell the above bargained premises, with every privilege and hereditament thereunto said land belonging to the said WILLIAM BRINKLEY his heirs & assigns forever And I the said JOHN RICHARDSON, as for myself, my heirs & assigns to warrant & forever defend their right & title of the above bargained premises to the said WILLIAM BRINKLEY his heirs &c against the claims of any person or persons. This Indenture made this 22nd day of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred & ninety nine between JOHN RICHARDSON of the State of North Carolina & County of Halifax of the one part and BENJA. BASS of the State and County aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said JOHN RICHARDSON for and in consideration of the quantity of two hundred & fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said BENJA. BASS the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained & sold & do by these presents bargain & sell unto the said BENJA. BASS his heirs & assigns all that tract of land on both sides of Falling in the County of Halifax containng by estimation one hundred and nineteen acres be the same more or less & bound as follows,
Beginning at a Red oak in WILLIAM BRINKLEY's line then running East ninety pole to a white oak the running North two Hundred & thirteen poles to the center of three pines then West ninety poles to a black jack then South two hundred & thirteen poles to the first station and all the Right priviledges, Immunities & Hereditaments to the same belonging or otherwise appertaining to have & to hold the said tract or parcel of land and premises to the said BENJA. BASS his heirs & assigns to the only proper use & behoof of the said BENJAMIN BASS his heirs and assigns forever and the sd. JOHN RICHARDSON for himself & his heirs to the said BENJAMIN BASS his heirs & assigns the said tract or parcel of land against himself & his heirs and against every other person or persons whatsoever shall & will warrant & by these presents & forever defend the same. This Indenture made the 24th of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one between CARY BASS of the County of Halifax and State of No. Carolina on the one part and JOHN RICHARDSON JUNR. of sd. County & State on the other part, Witnesseth the sd CARY BASS for the consideration of the sum of seventeen pounds current money to her in hand paid & for the consideration of the same hath bargained & sold all her part of land out of her farther [sic] BENJAMIN BASSes tract of land containing seventeen acres to the said JOHN RICHERSON JUNR. to his heirs & assigns forever with all priviledges and appertenances thereunto belonging to the said JOHN RICHERSON JUNR. Know all men by these presents that I ABRAHAM SCOTT of the County aforesaid being in my perfect understanding and willing to bestow a few things the Lord has pleas to bestow me I knew that I give to ABRAHAM RICHARDSON son of my daughter ABIGAIL RICHARDSON, two better beds two rugs four sheets two bowlsters one large iron pot one loom and gear, and dozen pewter spoons one tin pan 2 tin cups , 1 tray water pail, barrel & washing tub, five earthen plates, one saw and 2 pair pot hooks, all of which I freely give to the said ABRAHAM RICHARDSON leaving of all in the possession of his mother ABIGAIL RICHARDSON in the presence of these two persons JAMES READ and JAMES McDANIEL.

Witnesseth that the said CATY BASS for and in consideration of the sum of thirty two dollars to her in hand paid & the consideration of the same hath bargained, sold to the said JOHN RICHARDSON a tract of land lying in the County of Halifax & sd. State lying & bounded as follows-

This Indenture made this 4th of November eighteen hundred & five, between HARDY BASS of the Town of Petersburg State of Virginia of the one part & JOHN RICHARDSON of the County of Halifax State of North Carolina of the other part; witnesseth that the said HARDY BASS for & in consideration of thirty four silver dollars to me in hand paid by said JOHN RICHARDSON the receipt for which I do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained & sold & by these presents do grant bargain & sell unto the said JOHN RICHARDSON his heirs &c all my right title & interest in the lands belonging to the estate of my dec'd father BENJA. This Indenture made this 27th day of March in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and five between LEWIS BOON of the County of Halifax and State of North Carolina of the one part and HENRY HAWKINS of the same County of the other part. Witnesseth that the said LEWIS BOON for and in consideration of the sum of sixty dollars to him in hand paid by the sd HENRY HAWKINS the rec. whereof is fully acknowledged by the sd LEWIS BOON that he hath bargained sold and delivered unto the said HENRY HAWKINS JUN. a certain tract or parcel of land in said County of Halifax on the waters of Rocky Swamp being a part of the tract of land formerly MOSES GAYNS's. This Indenture made this 27th day of May in the Year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred & twelve between SOLOMON HAWKINS of the County of Halifax & State of North Carolina of the one part and ELISHA B. SMITH of the County and State of North Carolina aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said SOLOMON HAWKINS for and in consideration of the sum of five pounds money of the state aforesaid to him in hand paid by the said ELISHA B. SMITH before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold enfcoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell enfcoff and confirm unto the said ELISHA B. To have and to hold to the only proper use and behoof of him the said ELISHA B. SMITH his heir and assigns forever. And he the said SOLOMON HAWKINS as well for himself as also for his heir Exors. Adminrs and assigns doth covenant and agree to and with the said ELISHA B. SMITH that he the said SOLOMON HAWKINS at the time of making this conveyance is seized of a sure perfect & indefeasible title in and to the premises aforesaid and he doth further covenant and agree as well for himself as also for his heirs Exors Admrs and assigns to and with the said ELISHA B. This Indenture made the 20th day of February in the year of Our Lord 1817, between HENRY HAWKINS of the County of Halifax & State of North Carolina of the one part and JARRAD WEAVER of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said HENRY HAWKINS for & in consideration of the sum of one hundred and eighty dollars to him in hand paid by the said JARRAD WEAVER, the receipt is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant bargain & sell alien release enfeoff convey & confirm unto the said JARRAD WEAVER his heirs and assigns forever that tract or parcel of land lying & being in the county & State aforesaid, containing by estimation sixty acres be the same more or less, bounded as follows,
Beginning at a stake in FINNEY's line, thence his line S 72E 148 poles to a stake in MYRICK's line, thence his line S & E 98 poles to a white oak BLOYSE's corner, thence his line S 83 W 62 poles to BASS' corner, thence the said BASS & FINNEYs line to the beginning. Together with all & singular the privileges & advantages of the said tract of land and its appurtenances whole sixty acres be the same more or less.
To have and to hold to the said JARRAD WEAVER his heirs & assigns forever to his & their only proper use & behoof forever. And the said HENRY HAWKINS doth for himself his heirs Exrs & Admrs. covenant & agree to & with the said JARRAD WEAVER his heirs & assigns that he will warrant and forever defend the right and title of the above bargained land & premises not only against himself and his heirs but against all manner of persons whatsoever.

This Indenture made this 29th day of June in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one, between JAMES EVANS of the County of Halifax and State of N. Carolina of the one part, and HARDY RICHARDSON of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said JAMES EVANS hath this day bargained and sold and do by these presents bargain and sell unto the said HARDY RICHARDSON, for and in consideration of the sum of forty five dollars, to him in hand paid the rect whereof is hereby acknowledged two certain tracts or parcel of land lying in the County and State aforesaid, and being the same on which the said JAMES EVANS now resides, supposed to contain fifteen acres be the same more or less and adjoining the lands of the said HARDY RICHARDSON and WILLIAM K.
