Know all Men by these Presents, that we WILLIAM INSCO, THOS. K. THOMAS, and ALEX'R STALLINGS are held and firmly bound unto the State of North Carolina, in
the sum of Two Hundred dollars (double the amount of all the property, real and personal of the deceased) to the payment whereof, well and truly to be made,
we bind ourselves, jointly and severally, our executors and administrators, firmly by these presents.
Sealed this 21st day of January 1869.
The Condition of the above Obligation is such, That if the above bounded WILLIAM INSCO administrator with will annexed of SALLY DALES deceased, do make a
true and perfect inventory, and account of sales of all of the real estate, and all the goods and chattels, rights and credits of the deceased, which have
or shall come to his possession or knowledge, and the same do exhibit into the Probate Court of said County within three months after the date hereof, and
do well and truly administer according to law, all the goods, chattels, rights and credits of said deceased, and the proceeds of all her real estate, that
may be sold for the payment of the debts of said deceased, which shall at any time come to the possession of the said Administrators with will annexed or to
the possession of any other person for him; and further do make a true and just account of his said administration within two years after the date hereof,
and all the rest and residue of the said proceeds of real estate, goods, chattels and credits, which shall be found remaining upon his account, (the same
being first examined and allowed by the Judge of Probate) shall deliver and pay to such person, as the same shall be due unto; and shall obey all lawful
orders of the said Probate, or other Court, touching the administration of the estate committed to him, and shall faithfully execute the trust reposed in
him as such Administrator with the will annexed according to law, then this obligation to be void and of no effect, otherwise to remain in full force and
virtue.

Whereas on the 21st day of January 1869, in the Probate Court for the said County, Letters of Administration with the Will annexed of SALLY DALES deceased,
were granted to WM. INSCO, as appears to us of Record.
And whereas, the said WILLIAM INSCO has failed to file an Inventory of the estate of the said SALLY DALES, as the law in that case required within three
months after his qualification:
You are therefore commanded to summon the said WILLIAM INSCO to appear at the office of the Judge of Probate for the said County in the Court House in
Louisburg on Monday the 30th day of August next, then and there to exhibit his inventory of the said Estate, for file and to show cause why an attachment
should not be be issued against him; and let the said WILLIAM INSCO take notice that if he fail to appear at that time he will be subject to the penalties
of the law in such cases made and provided.

Upon the hearing of this petition, It is ordered tha JOSHUA PERRY, ARCH TAYLOR, ALFRED ALSTON, A. D. WILLIAMS, J. B. and ALBERT HAMLET be appointed
Commissioners, and they or a majority of them are to divide the lands described in the Petition into Eight equal shares, and to allot to each of the
petitioners WINNIE WEST 1/8, JAMES WHITE and SALLY WHITE 1/8, NORFLEET RICHARDSON, MARY RICHARDSON, & HENRY RICHARDSON 1/8, ELIZABETH MILLS 1/8, MARY
RICHARDSON 1/8, FANNIE SCOTT 1/8,SALLY MILLS 1/8 and WM. INSCO 1/8
one share thereof in severalty; and if any equal division cannot be otherwise effected, then they are to charge the more valuable dividends with such sums
as they shall judge necessary, to be paid to the dividends of inferior value, in order to make the division equal. Said Commissioners, before they act as
such, are to be duly sworn by the Sheriff, or some Justice of the Peace, and they are to report their proceeding, under their hands and seals, into this
Court, as soon as practicable.
The Sheriff will summons said Commissioners to appear on the premises for the purpose above mentioned.

costs of this suit, to be taxed by the Clerk, be paid by the parties in proportion to their respective interests in the lands divided. This 4th March

JAMES & SALLY WHITE were probably siblings of some sort since they were given 1/8 portion together rather than separately, just as NORFLEET, HENRY & MARY
RICHARDSON, who were the children of JAMES RICHARDSON & ADELINE DALES of Halifax, although PATSY DALES, B. 1800, probably sister of ADELINE who had died
before 1850, was living with them in 1850 & 1860, possibly to care for the young children. I believe that PATSY DALES was the same person who had married
LUNSFORD EVANS, in 1823 Franklin County, NC.

iv. John2, born circa 1790, head of an Edgecombe County household of 6* "other free" in 1810 [NC:715] and 4 "free colored" in Halifax County in 1830. On
17 May 1841 the Halifax County court permitted him to carry a gun in the county.
*Note: Actually reads 3 Other Free in 1810 Edgecombe*
(This was probably the father JOHN WHITE, and perhaps he married a member of the DALES Family; she was abt the same age as he, so it was likely that she
was a sister to either WILLIAM DALES or his wife, SALLY EVANS DALES. Whoever his wife was, they apparently married sometime around the 1820-30 time
period, judging from the ages of the children in the 1830 Census)
