WILL OF WILLIAM GRANT

South Carolina -

I, William Grant of Georgetown in the State aforesaid, do make my last will and testament in manner following, that is to say: - I give and bequeath to my beloved and affectionate wife Eleanor Grant, all the Estate which I shall die pofsefed of or entitled unto, whether it be real or personal, so long as she shall remain my widow, Charging her with the maintenance and education of our Children, in the best manner my estate will enable her to do it - And that she may be the better enabled to fulfil the Charge hereby entrusted to her, I give to her, for the purpose aforesaid, the same absolutely power to dispose of all or any part of my said Estate, real or personal, as I myself, now have and to make and execute all necefsary titles for the same - Should my said wife marry again, it is my will, that, so soon as such an event shall take place, all my estate that then remains shall be equally divided between my said wife and such Children as may be then living, To be held by them and each of them their heirs, executors, administrators and afsigns - But in Case my Wife should not marry again or any one or more of our Children should attain the age of twenty one years before she shall marry - Then and in that event, I direct that my said wife shall have full power to deliver to the Child or Children so attaining the age of twenty one years, his or her equal share of my Estate -Should my said wife Conceive it beneficial for herself and our Children to purchase other property with the proceeds of any property she may sell, I hereby authorise her to do so and again to sell the same should she find it necefsary or advantageous - I appoint my said Wife Executrix of this which I declare to be my last will and testament, hereby revoking all other wills by me made - In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this twenty fifth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twelve -
