WILL OF ELIZABETH NESBIT
All Saints District, Georgetown, S.C.
In the name of God amen, I, ELIZABETH NESBIT, widow of the late
DR. ROBERT NESBIT, of All Saints Parish, State of South Carolina, being
weak and low in body but of sound and disposing mind, do make this my
last Will and Testament, in manner following revoking all other by me
made.
In the first place, under the expectation
that I am entitled to one half of the Midway Plantation I will and
bequeath it to my nephew JOSEPH P. LABRUCE and my two slaves Esau and
Prince, my slaves Bob, Benchy and boy Thomas to JOHN LABRUCE, little
Tony to JOSHUA LABRUCE, and Yanaky to ELIZABETH LABRUCE, the children of
JOSEPH P. LABRUCE.
To my nephew, PERCEVAL E. VAUX I will and
bequeath the sum of four thousand dollars and my two slaves Christmas
and Paris, to my dear ELIZABETH, my woman Rachael and child, to PERCEVAL,
the son of PERCEVAL E. VAUX the sum of one thousand dollars.
To my dear SISTER VEREEN one thousand
dollars and to my neice ANN LABRUCE one thousand dollars.
I also bequeath to my dear MARY A. PAWLEY
the sum of two thousand dollars and my man Ned and girl Elsey, also my
furniture and household things.
To my niece SARAH MARY HOW the sum of two
thousand dollars and my carriage and horses. To my niece MARY HASFORD
one thousand dollars. To JANE ALEXANDER one thousand dollars, and a bed.
To MRS. BRITTON my woman Charlotte and the sum of six hundred
dollars, a set of drawers and all my wearing apparel, and I appoint
JOSEPH P. LABRUCE and PERCEVAL E. VAUX my executors

As I have omitted to dispose of some of my real estate as a
Codicil to this my last Will and Testament I will devise and bequeath
unto my nephew PERCEVAL VAUX, my lot of land in Georgetown and all my
title interest and estate in all and any other land which I may be
possessed , and not disposed of by my last Will and Testament.
I also give to my nephew PERCEVAL E. VAUX
a tract of land called Cotton Point bounded on the west by the
Waccamaw River on the north by land now owned by Major WARD to him and
his heirs forever.
I also devise that my executors do purchase
a Negro girl for MRS. BRITTON and a Negro girl for MISS JANE ALEXANDER.
