Esther Thomas was born September 16, 1893 at Lanham and died
October 7, 1982. Miss Thomas was the daughter of James William Thomas
and Martha Annie Adams (Foster) Thomas. She was a half-sister of
Robert D. Foster, who earlier was Principal of Hamilton High School (3
years) and Superintendent of Hamilton Public Schools for 5 years.
Esther Thomas taught in a Hamilton School from 1928 until she retired in
1964. Esther was an elementary principal in Hamilton during World
War II.
