Timothy Keith (Tim) Meade died at Scott & White
Hospital in Temple Oct. 30, 2003. Graveside funeral services for were
held Nov. 2 at the Thomas Cemetery located on the Thomas Farm with Clint
(Junior) Crosby officiating.
Mr. Meade was born January 6, 1959 in Hamilton, the son of Harriet
Thomas Meade and the late Jim Meade.
Mr. Meade resided on the family farm in the Rock House community; having
moved to the farm from Gar-land at the time his grandfather was injured
and could no longer manage the farm work. Prior to that time Tim worked
for Fox & Jacobs Building Company in the metroplex area doing
concrete work for new home construction.
After moving to the farm, Mr. Meade did contract hay baling and hauling,
work pecan orchards with his grandfather C. I Thomas and dear friend
Olon Crockett, automotive work for Mike Krueger and Tatum and Schoen
Motor Company.
He and his friend, Jackie Blair were partners in J & T. Concrete
Work. Mr. Meade’s also appreciated the good friendship and guidance of
the Craig family. Mr. Meade’s favorite pastimes were fishing for
catfish in the Leon River, playing darts with his friends and
refurbishing antique cars.
Mr. Meade is survived by his mother Harriet Havens and step-father Hal
Havens; his brother Jim Meade and wife Barbara and their children James
and Laura; his sister Paula Kunetka and husband Chris; and their
children, Kevin Bell and wife Kathryn and their children Tyler and
Matthew John Bell and wife Jennifer and daughter Angelina and Greg
Kunetka.
Pallbearers were Kevin Bell, John Bell, Greg Kunetka, Jackie Blair,
David Johnson, Tommy Blair, Perry Boggs, Gil Cowden.
Honorary Pallbearers: Olon Crockett, Mike Kruger, Tommy Craig, Wayne
Craig, Dean Craig, James Craig and Randall Craig.
