the Cotton Belt Railroad arrived in Hamilton in 1911, Day Excursions on a
motorcar to the Cotton Palace in Waco became a possibility. The
Cotton Palace was re-activated (rebuilt) in 1910 and survived until the
Depression in 1931. A
popular picture-taking site at the Cotton Palace was "The Man in the
Moon," as demonstrated by these two gentlemen from Blue Ridge.
