STANFORD
SCHOOL was in Stanford
Valley about twelve miles northeast of Hamilton
between FM 1602 and the Bosque County line and also between Cranfills
Gap and Jonesboro.
It is also between HWY 22 and CR 313.
The one-room Stanford School was built in 1896. In 1911 Stanford
School had seven grades.
James Elber Sills taught in the Stanford
Valley School. In 1918 Neel Houston was the teacher in this
school. This school consolidated with Terry and South Neil’s
Creek to form Mt. View School
before 1924-25.
