OLD SWIMMING HOLES WERE FAMOUS HERE
Most noted of the old swimming holes near Hamilton were
Wide Hole, Big Long, and Blue Hole, all on Pecan Creek. Some swimming,
fishing, and baptizing were done just below the "falls." The
"mill pond," formerly called the Old Richardson Hole, was
considered excellent boy fishing.
