"UNDER THE SPREADING CHESTNUT TREE"

This village blacksmith shop where Farmer's Produce now is, was owned and operated by W. R. West, the man in the center of the picture who is smoking the pipe.  On his right is S. A. Peeler, deceased, and on his right is R. L. West.  The man in the leather apron is B. B. West.

W. B. West was married to Mary Powell and they have six children who are now living.  Both Mr. and Mrs. West are dead.  The children are as follows:  L. L. (Lee) West, B. B. (Ben), C. L. (Claude), W. I. (Willie), Mrs. W. N. Jones, and Mrs. A. J. Collier.  All of them live at Hamilton except Ben, who lives in the country.
