Mr. Roberts was born in Forsyth County, Georgia, in 1865, came to Texas in 1882, and to Hamilton in 1886. He taught school, studied law under C. K. Bell, was admitted to the bar, entered partnership with J. A. Eidson, and later practiced with C. W. Cotton.
