MARK LOGAN --1897

Mark Logan was born in Morganton, GA., October 19, 1867. He studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1893, moving to Hamilton in 1896. He was, in 1897, a law partner with Major J. W. Cotton. The County News has been informed that Mr. Logan married a niece of Col. G. R. Freeman, who lived where Arthur Lemmons now lived. Colonel Freeman donated the land where the First Baptist Church now stands and contributed most of the fund to build the first church building there.
