J. E. Rubottom, Hamilton County agent for the Texas Co.,
has represented this company for the past nine years, two of which have
been as their representative her. Prior to moving to Hamilton, Mr.
Rubottom represented the company at San Antonio and Pflugerville. In 1921
he was married to Miss Grace King of Alice, Texas. They have two children.
Mr. Rubottom is a member of the Lions Club and takes an unusually active
part in everything that trends toward the upbuilding of Hamilton and
Hamilton County. He has a pleasing personality and has a knack for making
friends. Although he has only been in Hamilton two years, he probably
knows more people than half of the pioneers.
The Texas Company ranks as one of the largest companies
in the United States. They produce and refine their own products and a
Texas Company station will be found in every state of the Union and many
foreign countries. This company was organized in Texas in 1902, and its
growth has been phenomenal. The writer recalls that during the Sour Lake
oil boom the company was in its infancy, but they owned 834 acres in the
heart of the field, which gave them a wonderful start. Now their holdings
are almost counted by the number of oil fields.
The most modern methods, skilled workmen, technical men
combined with best equipment available, is used to produce Texaco
Gasoline, kerosene, oils and other by-products. A good motor deserves goo
gasoline and oil; it will last longer if given care and only the best is
used in its operation. Why take a chance on some off-brand? The Texaco
products have the satisfaction that you are giving your motor a treat.
