LOOKOUT MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH
1908-1912
Lookout Missionary Baptist Church
was located between Pottsville and Caradan from 1908 to
1910. It was admitted to Hamilton County Baptist Association on 12
August, 1908. F. W. Bynum was pastor of this church in 1909. W.
J. Sparkman was church clerk in 1908 and 1909. Lookout Baptist Church
had disappeared from the minutes of HCBA by 1912.
Messengers to the
annual association meeting were: 1908-- W. H. Allen, W. J. Sparkman,
and E. M. Wilson
1909--C. W. Wilson, Charlie Griffin, W. J. Sparkman
Since the Lookout Baptist Church did not own a church
building, the assumption is made that the church met in the Look Out
School, which was the common practice during that time period.
