LANGFORD BRANCH "heads
west of Evant, goes near the Langford cemetery, crosses the old Evant
and Lampasas roads where Asa Langford had a store in the
seventies (1870's). It was called Langford’s Cove. This branch
crosses the highway east of Evant and empties into the Cowhouse
near George Grigg’s place. It was named for Mr. Langford."--Doris
