John Joseph Blocker, infant son of Thomas and Mandy Blocker, died Aug.
1 at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.
Graveside services were Tuesday at Langford Cemetery in Evant
under the direction of Evant Funeral Home.
He was born July 31 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
Survivors include his parents; three sisters, Tabatha, Megan and Kinsey
Warlick of ...; two brothers, Marcus Herndon and Evan Blocker,
both of ...; his maternal grandparents, Joe and Christian Jones of ...; paternal grandparents, William Blocker Sr. of

Andrew Scott Moreno died July 29, 2005 in Austin. Graveside funeral
services were held July 31. Burial was in Langford Cemetery. He was born
July 25, 2005 in Temple, the son of Christopher Moreno and Tara Andrews
who survive him at their home in Evant.
The baby is also survived by a brother, Anthony Moreno of Evant;
maternal grandmother, Tawna Andrews of Chandler; paternal grandparents,
Jorge and Maria Moreno of Iola; ma-ternal great-grandparents, Frances
and Donald Cutright of Chandler and Bonnie and Rufus Andrews Jr. of
Killeen; paternal great-grandparents, Jose and Eniz Moreno of Mexico and
paternal great-grand-parents, Florencia and Matilde Guillen of Bryan.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Lonnie Andrews.
Pallbearers were Justin Andrews, Brandon Boyd.

Tina Louise Moore, 38, died at Hamilton April 5, 2004. Funeral services were held April 10 at the Evant Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Shaver officiating. Burial was in Langford Cemetery at Evant.
Mrs. Moore was born August 31, 1965 at Indianapolis, Ind.
Survivors include her parents, Donald Russell and Martha Francis Daniels Russell; four children, David Moore Jr., Patrick Moore, Kristle Ann Moore and Erica Dawn Moore all of Evant; four brothers, Terry Hillard of Boston, Mass., Steven Hillard of Killeen, Sam Hillard of Georgetown and Robert Hillard of Harker Heights.
Pallbearers were Terry Hillard, Steven Hillard, Samuel Hillard, Davie Moore, Pat Moore and Gordie Smale.

Cynthia (Cindy) Denise Simmerman, 15, of Evant, died June 20, 2004 at Temple. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. June 23 in the First Baptist Church at Evant with Rev. Wade Lackey officiating. Burial will follow in Langford Cemetery.
She was born July 17, 1988 in Greenville, S.C. to Gary Simmerman Sr. and Tyril Denise Reeves Simmerman.
Cindy loved to go to the car races to watch her brothers race every weekend. She lived to have fun, enjoying being a teenager and being with her friends. She was very much a "people person" never meeting a stranger. No matter where she went, she would know someone before she left. Survivors include her parents, Gary and Tyril Simmerman; two brothers, Gary and Christopher Simmerman, all of Evant; her grandparents, Judy Chambers of Evant and Clara Jane Peek of Greenwood, S.C. and a host of friends.
THOMPSON, LAURA CROLINA (FULT0N)

Laura Carolina Thompson, 93, died in Hamilton Monday, April 19, 2004. Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Langford Cemetery in Evant.
One of nine children, she was born December 28, 1910 in Aleman to W.M. and Maratha Sommerfeld Fulton.
On May 4, 1943 she was united in marriage to Mayford Lloyd (Buck) Thompson. They shared 47 years of married life prior to his death on Dec. 5, 1991.
Laura was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. For a number of years she ran a café in Evant, where she also served as cook. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Evant.
Her parents; one grandson, Christopher Herring; two sisters, Bessie Edmondson and Melinda Feldman; four brothers, Herbert, Jessie, Monroe and Erwin Fulton preceded her in death.
She is survived by two children and their spouses, Mary and L.D. Herring of Rendon and Sonny and Karen Thompson of Hamilton; six grandchildren, David Herring, Jessie Herring, Charlotte Thompson Weller, William Aeron Thompson, Jason Jacks and Jenny Green. She is also survived by two sisters Martha Schuman of Hamilton and Hattie Krueger of Aleman and by 10 great-grandchildren.
