GOAR SCHOOL, NO. 41

 

GOAR School was in Goar Valley  near Cranfills Gap. Goar Valley is in both Hamilton and Bosque Counties. Goar School was between the North Fork and the Middle Fork of Meredian Creek

There were six grades in the Goar School in 1911 when Geneva Sills, who would later become Mrs. Silas R. Allen, began her teaching career. In 1924-25 Miss Alta Tarrant (who later became Mrs. Virgil M. Santy) was the teacher in this school whose school board included E. W. Niel, J. B. Goar, and J. S. Sorley.
