THE GEORGE GOYNE FAMILY
Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Goyne and their baby daughter, Josie, moved from
Paris, Teas to Bosque Co., in 1876 and lived four years on the Cole Ross
place. In 1880 they moved to Martins Gap where Mr. Goyne traded a span of
mules and wagon for 100 acres of land, 3 head of cattle, and two fine
brood mares. A very nice bargain.
There were eleven children born to Mr. and Mrs. Goyne. Josie was born
at Paris, Zella was born on the Ross place, and the others, Thoma, Carl,
Wm. E. [William Earl], Mauzee, George, Evan, Percy, Locker, and Marcie, were born in the
old Log Cabin and Lean-too. All are deceased with the exception of W. E.
and Mauzee. They still own the old farm. Thanks to memories.
