DRY FORK SCHOOL DEED--COMMON SCHOOL DISTRICT NUMBER SEVEN

 

THE STATE OF TEXAS ,  }

County of Hamilton             } Know all Men by these Presents:

 

That I,  T. R. Thomas of the  County of Eastland, Sate of Texas for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar to me cash in hand paid by The Trustees of Common School District Number Seven and for the further consideration of the erection of a public school building on the land hereinafter described.

 

HAVE GRANTED, SOLD AND CONVEYED, and by these presents do GRANT, SELL AND CONVEY, unto the said The Trustees of the County of Hamilton, State of Texas all that certain Tract or Parcel of land lying and being situated in the County of Hamilton, State of Texas, and being a part of the J. T. Hardegree Survey, and described as follows: A tract 81 yards wide East and West by 180 yards North and West [South] out of the extreme Northeast corner of my 143 acre tract of land out of said Survey, said tract including within said bounds three acres of land, one acre of which was heretofore deeded to the trustees of said school district but said deed was never recorded, this deed conveying said one acre and two additional acres of land for school purposes. In the event said land ceases to be used for school purposes the same shall revert to me, my heirs and assigns.

 

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above described premises, together with all and singular the rights and appurtenances thereto in any wise belonging, unto the said The Trustees of Common School District Number Seven of Hamilton County, Texas, heirs and assigns forever and I do hereby bind myself, my heirs, executors and administrators to WARRANT AND FOREVER DEFEND, all and singular the said premises unto the said The Trustees of Common School District Number Seven of Hamilton County, Texas, heirs and assigns, against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof by, through or under me.

 

Witness my hand at Hico, Texas this 13th day of July A.D. 1921.

County of Hamilton              }      Before me, the undersigned authority, a Notary Public in and for Hamilton County, Texas, on this day personally appeared T. R. Thomas known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed to the forgoing instrument, and acknowledged to me that he executed the same for the purpose and consideration therein expressed.
