Brother W. C. Moore was born in Gatesville, Texas. His father was R. F.
Moore who for many years was a lawyer in Gatesville. His mother was the
former Miss Allie Mullens. She was a sister of Dr. E. Y Mullens, who was
President of the Southern Baptist Seminary, in Louisville, Kentucky for so
many years. Brother Moore married Miss Ila Gilmer, formerly of Gatesville.
Her grandparents were members of Coryell Church in the eighties or early
nineties.
Soon after he became pastor of Coryell, Claude Knight was elected
Church Treasurer and served faithfully and well. HE contributed to the
church and to the community.
Brother Moore conducted a spring revival which was an inspiration to
the membership and to the community. It was finally rained out, and later,
in July, they held a meeting where Dr. E. D. Head,
