Brother Dosher was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1858, came to Texas
and settled near Crawford in 1866. He married Miss Laura Whitman in 1880;
they had five children. Brother Dosher was a farmer until he was
thirty-eight years old. It was then that he felt the call to preach. He
preached the word of God for several years throughout Texas and Oklahoma.
