Coryell Church cooperated with First Baptist
Church in McGregor, and a revival was held in, or near, McGregor. Major W.
E. Penn was the revivalist. He was a man of great earnestness and ability,
usually won great victories and many souls for the Lord.
A little later J. M. B. Gresham of Moody conducted a revival at
Coryell. Those received by baptism by Brother Renfro were:
