"Sallie Greer never actually
lived in Hamilton Co. herself, to my knowledge. Her children did, Some
married there and she still has several families of grandchildren living
and raising their children there. I thought it would be approprate for her
pension file to be posted there as there will be Greer researchers looking
for their people." These
are her children who did live in Hamilton County, TX:
Son: B. William Greer married Georgia
Annie Latham there. This is the main family with lines still in Hamilton
County. They raised 6 children there; all but one have moved away or
died except one - George Greer & wife Sybil M. 'Mullins' are still
there and 2 of their children. 1 still unmarried. George had one line of
grandchildren that are around that area, I don't know them very well.
Dau: Phalby Greer m. Henry McGlothin
don't know where or much about them.
Dau: Dorothy Greer m. J. J. McMillian in Smith
Co. and were in and out of Hamilton but didn't settle there permanently
Dau: Mary Lee Greer m. J. L. Ford in Dallas and
were in Hamilton Co. a lot but don't think they ever lived there.
Sallie lost 4 children young in Henderson
Co.
2 more lived to maturity and
married away from home:
Son Andrew Jackson Greer m. Cora Eiverson ?
Dau Callie Ann 'Greer' m. L.C. Haynes- Dallas.
(Aunt Callie visited Hamilton Co., per B W. Greer's Kids, - a lot. Sad family.
She and hubby died young, only son and dau-in-law did too. There are 2
?gr. children left but no contact as they didn't know parents nor
grandparents. --Doris
