David Crockett Snow was the son of Eli Snow and Sarah
Ayres. David was born in 1819 in TN or possibly AL. In
1837 he married Nancy Barron in MS. Nancy was born on Mar
23, 1817 in AL and was the daughter of Joseph Barron and Hannah
McClanahan.
D.C. and Nancy appear to have arrived in Texas sometime
between 1857 and 1860. The first child to be born
in Texas was Albert Eli who was born in Fannin City, TX in April
of 1860.
