OLD JUDGE EIDSON’S ADVICE

Mr. Williams said that when Tom McKinley was sheriff and he was county clerk, he issued a warrant for a man that Tom arrested and brought back. They both had always gone to Mr. Edison (J. A.) For advice and paid him a retainer. Judge Eidson came in and said, "Boys, you can’t do that!" Tom said, "But we have done done it!" He thinks they let the man loose, probably did what he told them to.
