Mr. Robert Riverson Bell, Sr. died after an extended illness Feb, 13, 1980. He had been a resident in Hamilton for approximately six years. Retired since he moved to Hamilton, he was formerly an auto mechanic.
 
Mr. Bell was born August 22, 1900 in Virginia to the late William Franklin Bell and Martha Edwards Bell. In 1923 he married Helen Bertha Alcott in San Antonio. Mrs. Bell preceded him in death in 1972.
 
Funeral services were held at the Riley Funeral Chapel Friday, February 15 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Leon Boarman conducting the service. Graveside services were held in Lake Jackson, Texas, at the Restwood Memorial Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb . 16. Rev. Kelly Green and Robert R. Bell III officiated.
 
Mr. Bell is survived by three children, Robert Bell, Jr. of Lake Jackson, Joe W. Bell of Wimberly and Connie Bell; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Two sisters survive, Lena Daubenmeyer and Nancy Moore, both of Winston Salem, N.C., and one brother, Mason Bell of Fayetteville, N.C.
 
Pallbearers were Robert R. Bell, Jr., Joe Bell, Robert R. Bell III and Ron Evans.
