CLASS PROPHECY

 

Margaret Standifer: My! What a future you have in store. You are going to be wealthy and very popular when you grow up. You will meet with very distinguished people and among this group you will find your companion for life. He will be a tall, dark, handsome man, with blue eyes, and wavy hair.

 

Dorothy Nell Tillinghast: Oh! What a brilliant future you have. You are not going to be wealthy but you are going to be famous. You are going to be a great singer in a great opera, and will be known everywhere for your beautifully singing. During your career you will meet with life’s companion. He will be of the average height and be medium complexioned, and eyes of brown and black hair. He is of the average wealthy class. But above all of this success, he will be yours.

 

Mildred Boatwright: Mildred, keep on drawing. You will be an artist. Also you will be wealthy and famous. You will be a great artist and draw pictures of true life like the artist did in Florence L. Barclay’s “The Rosary.” During your career you will find your life’s companion. He will be a tall, handsome man with blue eyes, black hair and a medium fair complexion.

 

Georgia Ervin Loyd: That name pertains to a future that will be long remembered by the generations to come. You will be portrayed sitting at your grand piano studying the keyboard, and writing some of the famous love song for the mothers, fathers, and bosom friends; waltz music, and fox trots. You are going to meet your companion in the most unusual way. He will be of the average height, dark eyes and dark brown hair. Happiness will be yours.

 

Wynama Guest: Wynama, you are going to be a great writer. Your books will be widely read. Through your books you will find your man. He is average height, rather fair complexioned, brown hair and eyes.

 

Sunshine McCarty: The name Sunshine refers to the great disc in the heavens that sends us sunshine and warmth. So you will give your friends sunshine and warmth. You are going to be a great leader in some church and save souls that they might see our Great Redeemer.

 

A. B. Longino: You are going to be a great physician, and be famous in saving people from their early graves. You will marry the head nurse of your sanitarium. She is a blonde, with blue eyes, and fair complexion, but not tall.

 

Fulbright Shipman: You will be a humorist like Will Rogers, and be loved by every one. Your humor and philosophy will be widely read. You too, will marry a blonde with blue eyes and medium fair complexion.

 

J. E. Gordon, J. E., tut, tut, you’re going to be a farmer. But a successful one. About your middle age you will meet the One Girl. She will be dark headed, fair complexioned and will have blue eyes.

 

Clayton Fulbright: Clayton, you will be a great athlete. Your favorite game will be baseball. You will be known by your wonderful pitching. In later years you will meet up with the girl you fell in love with during your senior year at Sunshine.

 

Woodie Gordon: You are going to be a great Evangelist, and be known by your soul-saving sermons. During your ministry you too, will meet a girl you went to school with at Sunshine and marry her.

 

Lena Williams: You are going to be a very successful school mistress, loved by all of your pupils. The last year of your college life you will be thrilled by winning the love of your biology professor. Then schooling is over for you, but he remains a professor for several years and makes you a wealthy living.

 

Sunshine School : Ten years from now you will not know this school. You will find a large brick building with an enrolment of 418 pupils. A small town has sprung up consisting of ten grocery stores, five filling stations, two produce houses, a post office, three dry goods stores, and other necessities of a town. The population is about one thousand. We are glad to say that 900 of the population are church members. We have only three churches.
