TOM & BOBBIE VERELL,
JR.
Across
the Fence
By

I
would like for you to meet Tom H. Verell, Jr., a new vice-president of the
Hamilton National Bank. He is just starting his work here, so they have
not found a place to live yet. His wife, Bobbie, will be joining him when
they find a home. The Verells have two children.
Al,
a son, has a business in
San Angelo, and their daughter, Cheryl, is in
Angelo
State
University
at
San Angelo
.
I’m
always curious to know why people choose
Hamilton
or
Hamilton
County
as a place to live, so I just ask them. Both of the Verells are from
Mississippi
, and they came first to
Brownwood
where he worked for six years. He has been working in
Amarillo
for the past three years.
While
they were living in
Brownwood
, their daughter, Cheryl, became interested in horses and rodeos so during
that time they attended some 4-H rodeos at Star, Evant and other places
and met some
Hamilton
people. Tom said that after living for three years in that windy, dry
climate at
Amarillo
he was anxious to get back to central
Texas
where he finds the climate much better.
The
Verells are Baptist, and we welcome them to our little city.
