I’m sure you have admired the way Bobby Thompson keeps the telephone company’s grounds and the beautiful flowers that he produces. He has had a beautiful flower bed there in the corner this year that was high-lighted by those tall red-topped whatcha-ma-callits.
If you have been there the last few days you will notice that there has been a big change. Bulldozers have torn up the parking lot and even dumped some of the trash right in the middle of Bobby’s flower bed.
I had some business in the telephone office the other day and Shirley showed me the architect’s drawing of the new addition the company is adding. The present office will have a new face that will blend in with the new part. An increase in the number of customers; plus the new modern equipment that the telephone service has, has called for more space.
