CECIL GRISHAM

Across the Fence

By Arvord Abernethy

Cacil and Nelda Grisham have decided that they have done their part in producing food for the world, so they have sold their farm in the Lanham community and are building a home in Hamilton.

They bought some lots from the Owen Drakes that lay just north of the Drake home. Their home will face east on Meadowlark. Owen has been gardening that land and it is some of the blackest, stickiest land around; the best in the county. I’ll tell you more about the house later when it is finished.

A few days ago, Cecil had the misfortune of losing over half of his big finger on his right hand and getting the index finger badly mangled. He was trying to make an adjustment on the lawn mover when in some mysterious way his hand was jerked into the blade or something whipped around his finger and jerked it off.

Hope it doesn’t give you any great trouble Cecil.
