FIRST ANNIVERSARY
ACROSS THE FENCE

A year ago in June I started dropping by
your house nearly every week and having a little chat with you across the
fence. It has been a pleasant year of visits for me and trust that
it has been for you also. By visiting with you I have learned more
about you and it has all been good; I appreciated your warm welcome and
kind words of appreciation for my visits. If I said anything
you did not like, or took up your time when you had rather be doing
something else, you have been very kind in not mentioning it. Thanks
again for your kind reception.
I did not get to come by last week as my
better half, Mary, was in Scott and White Hospital in Temple. To
have tried to tell all about the size, the efficiency, the organization,
the staff, and the care expressed there at Scott and White would have
filled a newspaper.
We are thankful we are this near such a
hospital in times of extreme need, but we are thankful for such a fine
hospital as we have right here in Hamilton which can handle most of our
needs. When Mary had such a severe medical reaction and outbreak
recently, we probably could not have made it to Temple or even to
Clifton. Thanks for the Hamilton County General Hospital.
