CTC SCHOLARSHIP SET UP IN MEMORY OF ALEXANDER

J. .E. Alexander Memorial Scholarship:  Friends and family members of the late J. E. Alexander attended a reception at Alexander Moulding Mill in Hamilton officially establishing a scholarship in memory of Alexander at Central Texas College. Al Ornstein, executive director of the Central Texas College Foundation, made some brief remarks of appreciation and, above, Sid Wieser, former Hamiltonian and member of the CTCF board of directors, presents Ann Alexander a crystal sculpture with J. E.'s picture etched in it. An Identical one will be kept at the CTC campus.

CTC SCHOLARSHIP SET UP IN MEMORY OF ALEXANDER

 

The Central Texas College Foundation will host a ceremony at 4:30 p.m. this Friday, June 9, at Alexander Moulding Mill to establish an endowed scholarship in the name od John Edward "J. E." Alexander.
 
The scholarship was initiated by family and friends to honor the memory of Alexander by helping students achieve their educational goals.
 
Sid Wieser, chair of the CTC Foundation board of directors, will present an art-carved crystal plaque to Mrs. Ann Alexander and special message will be given by friends of J. E. Alexander.
 
Alexander was a longtime resident of Hamilton and founded the Alexander Moulding Mill. He was a veteran of World War ll and served in the Sea-Bees as a Carpenter's Mate First Class. He also spent military time in New Guinea and the Philippines. He died Sept. 16, 1974.
