Parkerville School
My grandfather, Homer I Poole Sr., came to Worth County , GA to teach school at Parkerville. His daughter, Louise Poole Palmer told me this. And I have a photo of him teaching school. He had previously taught in Schley Co, Ga. at Lacrosse School. (From Ellaville Newspaper) . He married in Schley county on 29 Dec. 1907 (courthouse records) and the family lived in Isabella, Ga. He later farmed, ran mail route, ran the Isabella Jail and his family ran a store in the bottom of the old jail. Homer Poole was born 30 Mar 1883 in Schley County, GA and died 18 Feb 1970 in Sylvester, Worth Co. Ga. He and his wife Eunice Caroline Murray Poole (10 Aug1887- 5 Mar 1962) are buried in Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester, Ga. They had nine children.
