Last Will and Testament of Holland Askew Webb Wright

In the name of God amen
I Holland Wright of the county of Johnson and State of Georgia being of sound and disposing mind and memory and being desierous to settle my worldly affairs while I have the strength so to do do make and publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all Wills by me at any time heretofall maid and first I commit my soul to God who gave it and my body I desire to be buried in a decent and christian like manner my worldly estate I dispose of as follows

Item 1st – I give and bequeath unto my beloved grandaughter Lucinda H Webb daughter of my son William A Webb one bed and bedsted 4 quilts 12 blankets 3 sheats & 2 ____ also the sum of five hundred dollars to educate her I also give her and her heirs a negro girl named Mary and her increase & desire that if she Lucinda H Webb should die leaving no child or children that said negro Mary and her increase return to my estate and be disposed of and said amount equally divided between my sons William, John & Elie

Item 2nd – I give a desire sum to my son Giles G Webb five hundred dollars a year to be paid anuley for his support by my Executors hearin after named and I request & desire that after one or two years trial they find two hundred dollars not adegreaite to his support that he be allowed more for I certanly wish him kindly treated & well taken care of

Item 3rd – I desire that the sum of twenty five dollars a year be given my old negro man Charles to to be paid him anuley also that five dollars a year be allowed and paid anully to my negro woman Clarisa they have been good and faithful servants and I desire they receive from my estate the amount given anully

Item 4th – I desire that all my negroes as also other property be appraised & equally divided between my sones William, John & Elie and at the death to go to there children I wish in the division of my negroes my son Elie to take the following ones at appraisment prices namely Lendon Dave & his wife Milla & there three children Sam Dick & Tom I do not wish one of my negroes sold but that they be taken by my sones as above ___

Item 5th – I hearby constitute and appoint my beloved sones William & John & Elie D Webb my Executors to this my last Will and Testament in witness thereof I the said Holland Wright have set my hand and seal this 19 day of July 1859

Signed sealed and delivered by the above named Holland Wright in her last Will and Testament in presence of us who at her request in presence of each other have subscribed out names as witnesses
