A Transcribed copy of Abraham Johnstons Will

Item : In the Name of God Amen I Abraham Johnston of the State of Georgia And County of Warren being sick & weak in Body but of perfect and disposing mind & memory And being desirous to Settle My Outward affairs do give desire and dispose of the same in the following manner and form to_____?______ I desire that my funeral expenses be discharged and all my just debts.

Item: I give and bequeath to my Son Robert Johnston one hundred Acres of Land in Warren County On the waters of Long Creek Adjoining Lands of his, he paying into the hands of My Executors hereafter Named the Sum of One Hundred Dollars to be put to the Use hereafter directed, by my Said Executor.

Item: I give and bequeath to my Son Amos Johnson the tract of Land and premises Whereon I now live, Except that part of Said Tract that lies between the road leading from Wrightsborough to Washington and Joins the tract whereon my Son William Johnson now lives; he my son Amos paying into the hands of my Executors, the Sum of two hundred and fifty Dollars; I also further give to my Son's Son Amos a Walnut Table and a Corner Cupboard

Item: I give and bequeath to my Son Caleb Johnson and Abner Johnson the sum of one hundred Dollars each.

Item: I give and bequeath to my Son William Johnson that part of the tract of Land whereon I now live that lies between the road leading from Wrightsborough to Washington, as the road now runs, until it joins the tract Whereon he now lives; also the sum of one hundred Dollars and a silver table spoon.

Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter Tracey Samples the sum of Fifty Dollars to be paid into her own hand by my Executors as she may stand in need thereof or call for the same

Item: I give and bequeath to my daughters Margaret Hunt, Elizabeth Thomas and Catherine Arnett the sum of fifty dollars each.

Item: My large family Bible I give and bequeath to my grand-daughter Sarah Day and my will & desire is that my grand-son Abraham, son of my son Abraham deceased, shall have Fifty dollars to be put to interest by my Executors until he shall come of age; and if should die before he arives at age I give & bequeath the said fifty dollars of the interest it may draw to Cyrus Johnson, my grand-son and son of my son William Johnson.

Item: I and my will and desire is that my personal Estate be sold by my Executors and if there is any money left in their hands after paying the above Legacies, that it be divided Amongest my Children & Grand-Children within named, share and share alike.

And lastly I Nomenate Constitute & appoint my sons William & Amos Johnson executors on this my Last will and testement rattifying and compiling this and no other to be my last will & testement. 

I witness whereof I have hereunto let my hand this 27th day of September in the year of Our Lord 1803

Personally appeared in open court Ezekuel Alexander and being duly sworn as the holy executors Almighty God desposeth & faith that he said Abraham Johnson sign his name to the within named will acknowledeged the same to be his last testement & at his request being then ____?_____ personally in the presence of the other subscribing witness they all became witness to the same at the time of his doing he was of sound disposing mind & memory to the best of his knowledge.
