I recieved the three photographs from Al and Ann Jacobson of Blackshear, GA in April 1997 of these headstones at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Waycross, GA in April 1997.

Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia by Folks Huxford - Vol. 7, pages 301 & 302 has a sketch on Daniel G. Nunez. Daniel lived most of his life in Appling/Pierce and Clinch Counties, but in the 1880 census he is found living with his mother Sarah in Waycross, Ware Co., GA. Regarding the Huxford sketch, my grandfather, John B. Nunez II, says his grandmother was Daniel's sister Isabelle "Bell" Nunez and his grandfather was James Burrell Jones of Wayne County, GA. John, Franklin and Olivette Nunez were all Isabelle's children.

Daniel G. Nunez' mother is found in Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia - VOL. 7, pg 300. The sketch is about Daniel's father, Daniel A. Nunez in 1833 in Appling Co., Georgia.  She is the mother of his 11 children.  She died August 18, 1897 and is buried at Mount Pleasant Church near Waycross, Ware County, Georgia.
