Do you have any information concerning the children of John Hastings Dial? I believe my G G Grandmother, Isabella Dial Brown, to be one of his children. He was the father of at least 15 children but only 10 have been identified. My G G Grandmother is not among the identified children. She is not listed on any census or other reports with John Hastings Dial or any of his six brothers. She states on the 1850 census report of Talladega County Alabama, that she was born in South Carolina, and according to the age given she would have been born about 1814. She was in the Walton County area in the early 1830s, as she was married in adjoining Morgan County in 1832. Her name was misspelled on the marriage book as, Isabel Deal. ( This might account for her being overlooked by researchers of the Dial family line.) She was in the Talladega County area prior to 1840. John Hastings Dial was in South Carolina in 1814, so was Isabella, he was in the Walton County area in the early 1830s, so was Isabella, he was in Talladega County Alabama prior to 1840, so was Isabella. Most of the Dial family was of the Methodist faith, so was Isabella. She named her first son, Lewis Martin Brown, and her second son, William Dial Brown. She was proud of her Dial linage, but she has never been listed on any Dial Family line that I can find. Any response would be appreciated. Charles Brown

Joshue of Henry Co. left a will, does anyone have that will and is Hannah mentioned in it? Please E-mail me at [email protected]. Thank you, Rita Hammonds Nabors

I am searching for information on my husband's great-great-great grandfather, Edmond Dorsey. He was born on July 1, 1811, died October 20, 1893, in Texas. He married Martha Hood on Feb. 27, 1834. After her death, he married Lucy Jane Lumsden on July 15, 1839. If anyone has access and the time to check the Newton County birth records for 1811 to locate Edmond's birth certificate, I would appreciate it. I will reimburse you for any expenses you incur in obtaining a copy of this birth certificate. We have reached a roadblock in determining who Edmund's parents were and how he fits into the Dorsey line.
