King, Benjamin I am searching for Benjamin King, born abt 1845 in Ga. His father was also Benjamin King. I do not know where or when for the elder King. I do not have any siblings either. I only know that according to the census he married in 1870 in Baldwin County Al to Jame Brewton. I have searched the census prior to 1870 and cannot find him in Al. Any help would be appreciated. I live in Texas and originally from Al.

Lowery, George was born in 1796 in Ga. ( 1850 LA census lists his age as 54 and birthplace as GA). That is all I am sure of. The following fact is true, but whether it pertains to my George and Elizabeth, I am not sure. George Lowery married Elizabeth Cox in Franklin County, Ga on 9/30/1813. Is this my George...I'm not sure, but my George's wife was named Elizabeth.
They were in Alabama by Jan 15, 1815 when their first son James Abraham was born. I am not sure where they were in Alabama until 1831 when they were in Pike County, AL. Elizabeth stated that they came to Union Parish in 1844. I don't know long it took to get from Pike Couny AL to Union Parish, LA.
What I would like to know is the name of George's father and mother. I have a lot of info on George from 1815 to his death in Union Parish, La in the 1850s.
Elizabeth Cox (my Elizabeth? don't know) was the daughter of Thomas Cox and Polly Vaughn Cox. They lived in Franklin County in 1813. (1850 La census list her age as 52 and birthplace GA. Thomas sold his land in Franklin County and moved to Clarke County, AL. In his will he mentioned his daughter, Elizabeth Lowery.
Would the names of George's children help....however, they were all born in Alabama. The last child was born in 1835 and named Elizabeth.

m. 11 June 1840 Elizabeth Montgomery in Pike Co, Ga.
Can find land transactions during the mid 1840's, but nothing after.
Elizabeth Manley's son, James Littleton Manley, was born 1850. Pike Co 1850 census shows Elizabeth & James Manley living with David Manley and family. David was Daniel's brother.
Is James Littleton Manley really Daniel Manley's son? What happened to Daniel Manley and when?
We believe Abner Manley was their father. Any Help will be greatly appreciated!

Mathis, Edmond of GA was born 1816. Sometime before 1849 he bought land in AL and on the deed for the land it is stated that he was from Lee County, GA. In 1849 he married in Randolph County GA, but might not have actually changed residence, because Randolph County was formed in part from Lee County. About 1850 he moved to AL. One source says his father was John Mathis and his mother was Elizabeth Rhodes. We have been unable to find further evidence that these were actually his parents. Any help deeply appreciated.

MILLER, Stephen R. The only info I have is the 1920 census and his death certificate (1921). Both cite Georgia as where he was born, but no other information. I know his name is Stephen R (I believe R is for Richard) Miller. He somehow went to Yazoo City, MS, where he married my grandmother who was much younger than he was. Her name was Hallie Mae Smith. He had been married previously and had grown children, but none of us know anything about any of them. He had 3 daughters, Nina, Julia, and Joyce. He died when Joyce was 3 months old. They moved to Jackson County, MS. He's listed on the 1920 census as being a farmer (and his death certificate). I have no other information. My grandmother would not talk about him to her children or anyone. The census says his father was born in GA and his mother in NC or SC. Thanks for any help you can give.
