Directions:
From the square, head west/south west on Vernon Rd 2.1 mi to Roanoke Rd (Rt 109). Turn right, and head west on Roanoke Rd 8.1 mi. The cemetery is on the right (north), on the right side of the Harmony United Methodist Church.
Comments:
Many reinterments were made at Harmony associated with the building of West Point lake.

There are three sections used to record grave locations:

1. The main section located on the east side of the church

2. The relocation section containing the relocated grave from cemeteries displaced when the West Point lake was built. Most of the graves are placed side-by-side without regard to original cemetery, but one section is separated, the Anderson and is identified as a separate section. The relocation section is located behind the church on its north side. See Note 1.

3. Anderson Cemetery Relocation
This relocation is located to the northeast of the Harmony Church right at the edge of the woods. It is about 50 yds north of the main church cemetery, and maybe 25 yds east of the entrance to the relocation section. The relocation is surrounded with a 60' by 20'. This move was designated 200-C, and involved 16 graves.
Notes:
Note 1:
When the U. S. Corps of Engineers were building the West Point Lake, a number of cemeteries that were to be inundated by the water were moved to Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery. The book "Family, Church, and Community Cemeteries of Troup County, Georgia" reported that these cemeteries were moved at that time.

The Corps of Engineer's (COE) designation is indicated in parentheses.

Barnes Cemetery (COE 802). 6 graves
Chivers Family Cemetery (COE 403). 5 graves
Crandel Cemetery (401-C). 4 graves
Crowley Cemetery (COE 402). 29 graves
