If you have Genealogical or Historical information that you are willing to share on this site please contact Howard Farmer. Note: To protect the privacy of living individuals no information will be published on this site, birth or similar, that is protected under Georgia law and not considered as public. Public is defined as belonging to the people; circulating among all people; open; generally known; common to all and open to general use.
The first census was conducted for Stephens County in 1910. Because of the 71-year wait for the release of census listings to the public, the only census years available are 1910, 1920, 1930 and 1940. The census records for the City of Toccoa, the communities of Ayersville, Boydville, Currahee, Leatherwood, Mountain Grove, Pole Cat and Toccoa Falls from before 1910 can be found with Habersham County. The communities of Avalon, Deer Court, Eastanollee, Martin and Wolf Pit were part of Franklin County.
