William H. Best, stepson of John Mitchiner married Charllot Oliver, had his name legally changed in 1822 to William B. Mitchiner, owned land and lived in what is now the top part of Wade Plantation, between 1831 and 1833 he left Screven Co.. and moved to Randolph Co. Ga., taking his family and slaves with him.
