Samuel Howell was born in east Florida . That was suposed to be Samuel Hodges who was born in east Florida the son of William Hodges . William Hodges had 200 acres of land in Screven co. that were part of his estate which were sold in 1802 by my GGGG Grandfather Samuel Hodges and his Brothers and sisters . Samuel was living in Screven co. before 1830 . Samuel Maner Howell was born in Screven Co. in 1801 the son of Luiet. Col Daniel Howell and his wife Civility Maner Howell who was in Screven Co. from North Carolina in 1757 Samuel Maner Howell Married Mary R. Thompson in Screven in 1826 . John Daniel Howell my GGG Grandfather was their first born son in 1828 he married Julia Amelia Powell daughter of Lewis Powell and Temperance Scott Powell in 1857 My GGGG Grandfather James Connor or Conner was in Screven Co. before 1820 his wifes name was Ann their son Simeon Daniel Connor was born in Screven Co. in 1814 He married Ann M. Lucas daughter of John M. Lucas and Sarah A. Lucas . Ann M. Lucas was born in 1814 . Simeon D. Connor and Ann wre married in or before 1841 . Simeon Daniel Connor was Justice of the Inferior court in 1861 resigned to become Captain of Troop B 2nd Battalion Georgia Cavalry " Screven Troop " resigned in 1863 replaced by Moses McCall .
