Mr William joseph Kennedy (67) of 163 Ballina Street Lismore, died at his home early last night. Mr. Kennedy had resided in the Lismore district for the past 40 years. He was born at Brisbane Waters in the Newcastle district. After coming to the Richmond River he wa sengaged in dairy farming at south gundurimba for about 15 years. after working for a number of years for the Gundurimba Shire Council. Mr. Kennedy was employed for about five years by Lismore Municipal Council. He was twice married and is survived by a widow, five sons and five daughters. The sons are William (Ballina), Eric (Qld), Michael (Lismore), Frank (Lismore) and Vincent (Lismore) and the Daughters are Mrs. T Joyce (Innisfail), Mrs. T Lowe (Lismore), Mrs. L Reynolds (Lismore) Mrs. A Sheridan (Lismore), and Mrs. P Underhill (Lismore). Stepdaughters are Mrs. G Gould And Mrs.R Fredericks (Lismore), Mrs. R Crisp (Rosebank) and Mrs. S Cooke (Nambucca Heads). Mr. Kennedy's brothers are Thomas (Lismore), James (Kempsey), George and Edward (Cawongala), Michael(Mullumbimby), and Stephen (Newcastle). Sisters are Mrs Joseph Clifford (Mullumbimby) and Mrs F Ramsey (Port Macquarie). The funeral will leave St Cathage's Cathedral Lismor, to-morrow after the service commencing at 2pm for the Lismore Cemetery.
