Jones (My Maternal Side)

George Williams Jones, my 3rd great grandfather, was born May 29th, 1848 in Warwickshire County, England, In the United Kingdom.  George migrated from England to Illinois and married Sarah "Jenny" Virginia Parsons, my 3rd great grandmother somtime in 1870 and were living in Sparland in Marshall County, Illinois.  Sarah Virginia was the daughter of Stephen Parsons and Margaret Rausch my 4th great grandparents.

George William Jones (1848 - 1892) and Sarah Virginia "Jenny" Parsons (1852 - 1937), my 3rd great grandparents had the following children: Charles Burton Jones (1871 - 1946), my 2nd great grandfather, Charolotte E Jones (1872 - ?), Stephen William (1874 - ?), Frances Pearl (1875 - ?), George Douglas (1878 - 1955), Rosie May (1879 - ?), Sarah Ann (1881 - 1963), Edmund Thomas (1887 - ?), Margaret Susanna (1889 - ?), Jennie Maria (1890 - ?).

George William Jones moves from Sparland to Missouri by 1875 and is in Huntsville, Randolph County, Missouri by 1880 (1880 federal census).

Charles Burton Jones (1871 - 1946) marries Marion Fleming Fairlie (1872 - 1903), my 2nd great grandparents, on January 14th, 1891 in Huntsville, Randolph County, Missouri and through that union they had three children: George Peter (1893 - 1954), Fairlie Albert (1895 - 1946), my great grandfather, and Charles Burton Jr (1899 - 1949).  After the birth of Charles Buton Jones Jr. in Randolph County, Missouri the family along with Marion's sister Sarah (Fairlie) Daniels family and Marion's youngest sister Jean Fairlie moves to Springfield Illinois. 

Marion (Fairlie) Jones died of Typhoid Fever on December 19th, 1902.  Jean Fairlie, Marion's youngest sister, who was the only one born in the United States, died on May 10th, 1904 of congestion of the lungs at the age of 20.  Jean Fairlie was living with her sister Sarah Hanley (Fairlie) Daniels at 555 West Elliott accross the street from her sister Marion's house in Springfield Illinois.

Charles Burton Jones Sr then married Ellen Marian Jacobs (1871 - 1955) on November 9th, 1904 and from that union they would have six children: Edmond Jacob (1905 - 1961), Edward (1906 - ?), Roy Elmer (1907 - 1987), Ellen Marian (1909 - 1997), Dorothy Virginia (1912 - 1998), Alice Mabel (1914 - 1997).

Failie and FayeFairlie Albert Jones (1895 - 1946) married Faye Elizabeth Nichols (1896 - 1919), my great grandparents, in 1914 and from that union they had one child: Marjorie Marion Jones (1916 - 1981) my grandmother.  Faye Elizabeth (Nichols) Jones died of complications brought on by the Spanish flu on January 19th, 1919 in Springfield, Illinois.

Fairlie Albert Jones (1895 - 1946) then married Marguerite Young (1913 - 1993) in 1933 and from that union they had one child: (living name witheld).
