For a variety of reasons, I believe
this Francis D. Hicks is related to my
g.g.g.grandfather, Thomas Hicks,
but have not been able to find any information
re her ancestry. She is probably
the same Francis D. Hicks who married
John M. Tatom:

Mr. John M. Tatom, son of Isaac
and James [sic; Mary Jane Stinson]
Tatom, was born in Lincoln Co.,
Ga., on 30th Nov 1804, removed to
Monroe co. and married Miss
Francis D. Hicks in 1827, from thence
removed to Upson, then to Troup
co., then to Union co., Arkansas, where
he died of typhoid pneumonia
in peace on 4th May 1868. His wife still survives
him... Abel Tatom [Abel was
the brother of John].
