College Street - The Woodlawn Academy.
Ellawood - Mrs. Ella Wood, wife of W. E. Wood, owned a large tract of land. It was sub-divided and the street through it was called Ellawood after her.
*Essex - Named after a street in Philadelphia.
*Fairmont - Named after a street in Philadelphia.
Furnance - The old Cherokee Furnance was located in this area. The furnace was built by A. G. West.
Gibson - W. T. Gibson owned a large tract of land mainly between what is now Gibson and Central Streets.
Grace - At one time this street was called Lumpkin Street. Rev. C. K. Henderson had the name changed in honor of Miss Grace Pittman during their courtship. Miss Pittman was his second wife.
Herbert - Named for R. G. Herbert. Mr. Herbert along with J. D. Williamson & T. M. Pace sub-divided a large tract of land in the eastern part of Cedartown. This was known as the Clow survey of the Eastview addition to Cedartown.
Janes - Named for Mrs Mary Janes, widow of Juluis Janes. Mrs. Janes owned a large tract just north of East Ave and east of Central Street.
Jule Peek - Named for Capt. J. A. Peek, a prominent citizen.
LaDue - Located on land once owned by Goodyear and named after one of the officials.
Ledbetter - Named for Dr. L. S. Ledbetter. He owned a large tract of land south of West Ave. and north of the railroad. The street sub-divides the tract.
Marshall - Named for Marshall Hand, son of J. C. Hand, a prominent merchant in Cedartown. Marshall died as a boy.
North Main - At one time was called Gordon Street for Gen. John R. Gordon.
Noyes - Named for J. S. Noyes, an imagrant from England. He came to Cedartown before the civil war. His land was where East Ave is now.
Philpot - Calvin Philpot owned a house on the east side of the street.
*Pine - Named after a street in Philadelphia.
Prior - Asa Prior gave the community the land for the courthouse and gave them the "Big Spring", from which Cedartown gets it's water supply. He was a very wealthy pioneer citizen of Polk County. Many of his descendants are still in Polk County today.
*Queen - Named after a street in Philadelphia.
Russell - Dr. D. M. Russell lived on this street just north of Tanyard Branch.
Scott - Located in the nothern part of Cedartown on land once owned by Scott Shiflet.
Shiflett - Located in the nothern part of Cedartown on land once owned by Scott Shiflet.
Slusser - Located on land once owned by Goodyear and named after one of the officials.
*Spruce - Named after a street in Philadelphia.
Stubbs - Named for J. S. Stubbs, a prominent merchant and educator of Cedartown.
*Victoria - Named after a street in Philadelphia.
*Vine - Named after a street in Philadelphia.
*Walnut - Named after a street in Philadelphia.
Ware - Named for the Ware family.
West Ave - A. C. West came to Cedartown in the 1870s His home was on the corner of West Ave. and College Street.
Wissahickon - Named by Mr. H. N. Vanderver for a stream that ran near his home in Philadelphia.
