This indenture made this eleventh day of June in the year of our lord eighteen hundred and eighteen between ANTHONY G. SMITH, HEZEKIAH LUCKIE and CHESLEY ARNOLD guardians to the orphans of GARNETT ANDREWS, deceased , of the one part and WILLIAM ANDREWS, JR., of the other part. Witnesseth that at an adjournment of Inferior Court of said county held on the sixth day of October eighteen hundred and sixteen an order was granted by said court authorizing the said guardians to sell three hundred and eighty two acres of land _____ the same more or less lying in the aforesaid county, it being the real estate of said deceased adjoining Col. JOHN GRESHAM and others and whereas the said land was duly advertised in the Georgia Journal agreeable to law for the term of sixty days was on the first Tuesday in January eighteen hundred and seventeen was exposed to sale at public auction at the door of this courthouse where the said WILLIAM ANDREWS has become the highest bidder and the said land was _________ off to him at a fair price of eighteen hundred dollars twelve and one half cents now in for consideration of the sum of money aforesaid the payment whereof is ___________ to us agreeable to the terms of the sale we the Guardians aforesaid have bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents do bargain sale and convey unto the said WILLIAM ANDREWS, the aforesaid tract of land to have and to hold the same together with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances unto the said tract of land belonging or in any wise appertaining and the said tract of land and _________unto the said WILLIAM ANDREWS unto his heirs, and assigns ________ for we defend against the claims of the heirs and assigns of the said Garnett Andrews deceased or any other person or persons claiming title to the same by or through him and will warrant the same against the right or claim of all and every other person or persons so far forth as the law authorizes us a guardian as aforesaid but no further. _________whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals as guardians of aforesaid the day and date before mentioned.
