NW GA Historical & Genealogical Society Lookups

NW GA H&GS References

There is no shortage of Northwest Georgia References, but there is a shortage of volunteers to do look-ups right now. If you own (or have access to) any Northwest Georgia references and will do look-ups, please let me know.

Where I do have volunteers lined up, please abide by these guidelines. Do not contact me, I will not respond. Contact the volunteer directly. Limit your request to one name per request. Please put NW GA LOOKUP in the subject line of your request to insure the message is not overlooked or accidentally deleted. In the first line of the message please put the name of the book from which you are requesting the lookup.

While we will be glad to point to your family history homepage on the net, we cannot store GEDCOMs on this server.

39th Georgia Volunteer Infantry
This regiment had companies that came from Gilmer, Dade, Walker, Whitfield, Catoosa, Chattooga, and Murray Counties. I can do lookups for folks who need to verify service or I can help them with some researching into their ancestors service. I have the Compiled Service Records for the entire regiment.
