Larceny from the house and Plea of Guilty The defendant James Parker a free person having filed a plea of guilty in the above stated case it is ordered by the court that defendant be taken from the bar of this court to the common jail of said county where he shall be safely kept until turned over to the justices of the inferior court of said county and in case said justices of said court upon the recommendation of the grand jury organize (p.26) a chain gang in and for the county of Monroe then it is ordered by the court that the said defendant be placed in custody of said court to be employed in said chain gang for and during the space of nine months and in default of said chain gang being organized it is further ordered that said defendant be sent under sufficient guard to be punished by the governor of this state by whom said defendant shall be kept at constant and diligent employment on the public works of this state as the governor may direct for said space of nine months and at the expiration of said time to be discharged. Assault and Battery - Upon hearing the testimony of the witnesses in the case of the State versus William Gary charged with the offence of assault and battery, and considering the same, the Court finds the defendant guilty of assault. Whereupon it is adjudged by the Court that the defendant, William Gary do pay a fine of eleven dollars and forty cents and costs of prosecution and thence be discharged. By the court, T. O. McCurry, minors and orphan children of James McCurry, deceased, and having given bond and security as guardian of said minors in right of his wife, whose letters abated by her said marriage, and letters of guardianship accordingly having been granted to her by the ordinary of Pike county, and said William C. Hanson, having removed said minors to this county, and having petitioned this Court to give bond as guardian as aforesaid in this county, and having filed in this office an exemplification from the Ordinary of Pike County of all the proceedings in said County of Pike in relation to said guardianship and having tendered George W. Hanson and Francis M. Hanson as his securities. It is therefore adjudged and ordered by the Court that said William C. Hanson give bond and security, as guardian as aforesaid in the sum of sixteen hundred dollars and that his securities above tendered be approved and accepted, and that future he make his returns to this court. | ||

be made, we bind ourselves, and the heirs and consi... of us and each of

and dated this 5th day of April 1852. THE CONDITION OF THE ABOVE BOND
OR SOLICITATION IS SUCH, That if the above bound John L. Allen who is this
day appointed GUARDIAN of the person and property of Julia Ann Woolsey and
illegitimate child, acknowledging by the same by his acceptance of
said appointment, and of Letters of Guardianship of this date, shall well
and truly maintain, clothe and educate said Orphan according to her circumstance,
and shall take good and _____ care of her person and property, according
to the laws of this State, and shall annually make a just and true return
