Obituary of Addy Donita Adams as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 10 Dec 1975. Funeral services for Miss Donita Adams, 64 years of age were conducted Sunday, 5 Dec 1975, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Braswell Funeral Home. Miss Adams passed away on Thursday, 4 Dec 1975, after several months illness at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida. The Rev Joe Jenkins officiated with interment in the Pelham Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Anthony Morrell, Herman Hampton, Hal Marshall, John Butler, Thermon Butler and David Butler. Miss Adams was born in Cotton, Ga. on 13 Nov 1911. She was a daughter of the late H. J. Adams and Minnie C. Chason Adams. She was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church and a saleslady for Scott and Marshall Grocery. Survivors include one brother, Webster Devon Adams of Ocala, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. E.C. Jester of Bainbridge, Mrs. E. D. Bostick of Camilla and Mrs. Doyle Rentz of Moultrie. Braswell Funeral Home in Pelham was in charge of funeral arrangements.

Obituary of Mattie Lou Shiver Adams as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 24 Oct 1992. Mattie Lou Shiver Adams, 81, of Chamblee died Wednesday, Oct 14, 1992. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Oct 16, at Chamblee First Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Bone and the Rev. Paul Hall officiating. Burial was held in Prospect Cemetery, Chamblee. Born Oct 13, 1911, in Mitchell County, Mrs. Adams was the daughter of Joel R. Shiver and Allie West. She was a member of Forum Sunday School Class of Chamblee First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Hoke S. Adams of Chamblee; two sisters, Bessie Pittman of Sale City and Mabel Kwasnik of Jacksonville, Fla; and nieces and nephews. H. M. Patterson and Son of Atlanta had charge of the arrangements.

Obituary of Nannie Flake Palmer Adams as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 18 Jun 1975. Mrs. Nannie Flake Adams, widow of the late Willie C. Adams and one of Camilla's most prominent and beloved women, died quietly at her home on North Scott Street early Saturday afternoon, 14 Jun 1975. She had been in frail health for the past several years due to the infirmities of age. She celebrated her ninety-first birthday last Wednesday with punch and cake for members of her large family, brother and sisters, daughters and their husbands, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She gradually failed from day to day until the end came quietly and peacefully Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were held Sunday, 15 Jun 1975, at 4:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Camilla where she had held membership for many years and was one of its most faithful and devoted members. Her pastor, Rev Edgar T. Davis Jr. officiated and interment was in Oakview Cemetery by the side of her husband who died several years ago. The church organist at the funeral service played a medley of old favorite hymns, Mrs. Adams husband having sung in the church choir for years and enjoying the music. Grandsons served as pallbearers and they were Marc Brown of Dalton, Ga., Richard and Glenn Brown of Decatur, Joe Barber Adams Jr., Miley Adams, James Lee Adams Jr., John McKeown, Jai Cochran, Kip and Fain Adam, all of Camilla. Mrs. Adams was born 11 Jun 1884, daughter of pioneer Camilla residents the late James H. Palmer and Laura Twitty Palmer. She attended Cox College and came home to teach school for a very short time before marrying the late W. C. Adams and beginning a role of housewife and mother at the home on North Scott Street where they lived all of their lives. Mrs. Adams' husband besides being a successful farmer, took a prominent part in the Planters and Citizens Bank as well as the old Union Supply Company, later going out of business and standing where the B. C. Moore and Sons business now stands. Mrs. Adams will long be remembered as a mother who reared a large family of children to later establish their own homes and take a prominent part in the church, social , business and educational life of the community. She will also be remembered for the great impact she made on the lives of members of the First Baptist Church of Camilla. In early days she was a leader in WMU work and in Sunday School work, as a teacher and otherwise. In recent years she became known as the writer of beautiful messages to anyone sick, in trouble of any kind. The eloquence of her Bible taken and scriptural messages to those needing just a word of encouragement or sympathy caused the mention in the last few years of perhaps publishing a collection. Survivors include three sons, James Lee Adams Sr., Joe Barber Adams and Dr. Carroll Adams, all of Camilla, three daughters, Mrs. Rob Roy Cochran and Mrs. Dorothy McKeown, both of Camilla, and Mrs. Burl Brown of Decatur; a brother, Dan Palmer Sr. of Camilla; four sisters, Mrs. Fort Barker, Mrs. Iverson Bennett and Mrs. E. K. Harrell Sr., all of Camilla, and Miss Louise Palmer of Albany; 14 grand children and ten great-grandchildren. Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home here is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary of John Wesley Akridge Sr. as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 23 Aug 1978. John W. Akridge Sr., a native of Mitchell County, died early Friday, 18 August 1978, in the Mitchell County Hospital. Born on 7 Apr 1896, he was married to Mrs. Emmaline Hale Akridge. He was the son of the late James B. Akridge and Mrs. Ida Eubanks Akridge. He was a member of the Antioch United Methodist Church. He was a farmer and a merchant and a veteran of World War I. Services were held at 4:00 PM Saturday, 19 August 1978, at the church. Rev Frank Parr and Rev Marvin Snipes officiated and interment was in the Akridge Hill Cemetery. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Saralen Rentz, of Gainesville, Fla.; two sons, Edgar Akridge of Sale City and John Wesley Akridge Jr. of Atlanta; one brother, Clifford Akridge of Pelham; two sisters, Mrs. Sallie Caton of Sale City and Mrs. Mack Clark of Panama City, Fla., and seven grandchildren. Obituary of Lillie Pansy Palmer Archibald as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 6 Jul 1973. Mrs. Pansy Palmer Archibald, wife of the late B. M. Archibald, died Tuesday afternoon, 3 Jul 1973 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville where she was carried Monday after suffering a slight stroke late Sunday. Death came at 3:15 PM. She had been in failing health for several years but had remained fairly active until the end. Funeral services were held, Thursday, 5 Jul 1973 at 5:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Camilla where she had held membership and taken an active part in the work of the church for many years. Her pastor, Rev Edgar T. Davis Jr. officiated at the services and interment followed in Oakview Cemetery with Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Linda Archibald Turner of Winter Park, Fla.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Betty Jordan of Mobile, Ala.; one brother, Donnie Palmer of Camilla with whom she lived at eht old Palmer Home place on Moultrie HIghway; five sisters, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Palmer Gray, Mrs. A. J. Osteen, Mrs. Elsie Alexander, all of Camilla, Mrs. Clyde Dewitt of Manchester and Mrs. Ermine P. Branch of Albany; two grandchildren, David Turner and Allison Marie Turner of Winter Park, Fla. Mrs. Archibald was born in Mitchell County, daughter of the late James L. Palmer and Mary Ella Baker Palmer, pioneer citizens of the county. She received her early education in the local schools and then went on to graduate from Bessie Tift College at Forsyth, now known as Tift College. She taught school for one year and then went to Columbia University to further her education. She taught high school English in various places in Alabama, North Carolina, Florida and Georgia. She went to Florida State University about fifteen years or more ago and got a degree in library science and was librarian for the Pelham Public Schools for some years before her retirement. In September of 1926 she was happily married to the late B. M. Archibald who preceded her in death in 1961. They were in Charleston during World War II when he worked for the shipyards there.

Services were held Friday, 7 Oct 1988, at 3:00 PM in Braswell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev Jim Ramsey officiating. Burial was in the Pelham cemetery. Mrs. Banks, born 17 Jan 1911, in Mitchell County was the daughter of the late Joseph Eldridge Glenn and Mary Etta Barton Glenn and was married to the late Judson Chester Banks Jr. She was a member of the Albany First Baptist Church. She was a retired beautician. Survivors include one son, Chet Banks of Albany; one daughter, Alice Hollcroft of Tifton; four sisters, Lillian McClure, Mary Jones and Mrs. Bill Beasley of Cotton and Mrs. J. D. Truluck of Hinsonton; and four grandchildren. Nephews served as active pallbearers. Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham had charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mr. Timothy Barnes, 86, of Sale City, who died Friday, 16 Mar 1973, were held Sunday, 18 Mar 1973 at Henderson Funeral Home in Moultrie with interment in the Cool Springs Church near Doerun. The Rev W. J. Brown officiated and active pallbearers were John L. Tucker, Ronnie Plazeman, Richard Hortman, Harold Green, John B. Tucker and Roger East. A native of Taylor County and a retired farmer, he was married to the late Emmousia Joines Barnes. Survivors include four sons, the Rev Quinton Barnes of Norman Park, Byard Barnes of Camilla, two daughters, Mrs. Fred Plazeman and Mrs. Harold Green both of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Naomi Baisden of Albany and several grandchildren.

Obituary of Alfred Iverson Bennett as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 10 Sep 1980. Funeral services for Mr. Iverson Bennett, 81 years of age of North Scott Street, were conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, 9 Sep 1980, from the chapel of Parker Funeral Home. The Rev E. T. Davis officiated with interment in the Oakview Cemetery. Mr. Bennett passed away Monday, 8 Sep 1980, at the Mitchell County Hospital. A native of Mitchell County, he was born 15 May 1899, son of the late William A. Bennett and Elizabeth Butler Bennett. He was a retired stock broker, a veteran of World War I and a member of the Camilla First Baptist Church. Mr. Bennett began his business life in Camilla. He operated a manufacturing plant for children's socks for a period of time, later opening a area office supply sales business. From there he went to Chicago to work in a brokerage form. He moved to Mobile, Ala. where he remained in the brokerage business for 34 years. He retired about six years ago and moved back t Camilla for his retirement, even then opening a small credit reporting and collection business, Federal Collection Agency, which he sold just this year. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Helen Palmer Bennett of Camilla; three sisters, Mrs. Naomi Workman of Rockhill, SC., Mrs. Lois Mitchell and Miss Betty Bennett both of Valdosta; two brothers, W. L. Bennett of Camilla and Marvin Bennett of Greensboro, NC. Parker Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Hazel Burnett, 82, of Cincinnati, Ohio, died Monday, 26 Feb 1990, at the Bethesda Hospital North in Cincinnati. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, 3 Mar 1990, at the Sale City Cemetery with the Rev Stanley Smith officiating. Mrs. Burnett was a native of Sale City, lived in Cincinnati for the last three years and was formerly from Tampa, Fla. Survivors include her husband, Douglas Burnett of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Peggy Moore of Cincinnati; a son-in-law, Reed Yount of Cincinnati; a brother, E.M. Stephens of Hampton, Va.; and a grandson, Dell Moor of Tallahassee, Fla. The family will receive guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Burnett in Camilla. Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, 11 Jan 1976, at the Pebble City Baptist Church for Mrs. Mary Francis (Mamie) Parker Burnett, wife of the late Silas Burnett, who preceded her in death by about two weeks. Officiating at the services was Rev W. F. Dyches, former missionary of the Tucker Baptist Association and Rev Kenneth Sirmans, pastor of Pebble City Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla in charge of arrangements. Serving as pallbearers were seven of Mrs. Burnett's grandsons. Mrs. Burnett passed away early Saturday morning, 10 Jan 1976, after a short illness at the Mitchell County Hospital. She was a native of Mitchell County. She was born 9 Mar 1892, and was 83 years of age. Mrs. Burnett had lived for many years in the Pebble City section of the county. On 22 Dec 1912 she was happily married to the late Mr. Silas F. Burnett who preceded her in death on 30 Dec 1975. They had just celebrated their sixty-third wedding anniversary recently. Her parents were the late A. J. Parker and Fannie Williams Parker. She was a member of the Pebble City Baptist Church. One son, Henry Theron Burnett of Quincy, Fla., preceded her in death on 24 Apr 1963. Survivors include four sons; James H. Burnett of Camilla, Willis Burnett of Quincy, Fla., Buddy Burnett of Dublin, Ga. and Charles Burnett of Albany; three brothers, Marvin and Burnice Parker of Moultrie and Enoch Parker of Madison, Fla., two sisters, Mrs. Cora Bell Brazel of Moultrie and Mrs. Rosa Lee Tucker of Miami, Fla. The Burnett family was very close knit and there are eleven grandchildren who survive. they are Kathy Burnett Hays of Baconton, Ga.; Patricia Burnett Clemmons of Columbia, S. C.; Martha Jane Huey Bateman of Houston, Tx.; Betty Burnett Suber of Quincy, Fla., Stanley Huey of Camilla and Gerald Burnett of Hosford, Fla; Lee Burnett of Meigs; Hank Burnett of Tallahassee, Fla; and Jeff Burnett. Thirteen great grandchildren survive. They include Carol Lynn Clemmons of Columbia, S. C., Sheryl Ann Burnett of Quincy, Fla; Martin Wayne Bateman Jr of Houston, Tx.; Alice Kathleen Hays of Baconton; William Stanley Huey III of Camilla; Jennifer Leigh Hays of Baconton; Leslie Rackley of Meigs; James Shannon Huey of Camilla; Lisa Ann Burnett of Quincy Fla.; James Leo Bateman of Houston, Tx.; Vivian Page Burnett of Meigs; William Benjamin Bateman of Houston, Tx.; and Marcy Leann Burnett of Albany.

(Buddy) Burnette, age 60, who died Monday night, 12 Nov 1979, at the Colquitt County Hospital in Moultrie will be held today, Wednesday, 14 Nov 1979, at 11:00 AM, from the Sale City Baptist Church. Rev Marshall Dixon and Rev Ernest Morey will officiate. Interment will be in the Sale City Cemetery. Mr. Burnette was a native of Mitchell County. He was the son of the late Silas B. and Mamie Parker Burnette. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the VFW, and a member of the Sale City Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Billy Suber, Jerry, Hank, Tim, Roger and Jeff Burnette, Earl Clements, Wayne Bateman and Stanley Huey. Mr. Burnette is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elsie Linton Burnette of Sale City; a daughter, Mrs. Mack (Kathy) Hays of Baconton; one son, Lee Burnette of Albany; three brothers, James H. Burnette of Camilla, Willis Burnette of Quincy, Fla., and Charles Burnette of Albany; and three grandchildren. Parker Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, 1 Jan 1976, New Year's Day, at Pebble City Baptist Church for Silas F. Burnett, prominent and popular retired Mitchell County farmer and son of a prominent pioneer Mitchell County minister, the late Rev Newt Burnett, and his wife, the late Alice Mansfield Burnett. Officiating at the services was Rev W. F. Dyches, former missionary of the Tucker Baptist Association, Rev Lester Turley, the present missionary of the Tucker Association, and Rev Kenneth Sirmans. Special music was provided by Don Celoria, Minister of Music of the First Baptist Church of Camilla. Seven of his grandsons served as pallbearers and interment took place in the church cemetery with Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla in charge of arrangements. Mr. Burnett died 30 Dec 1975, after a short illness. He was born 9 Apr 1893, in Mitchell County and lived for many years in the Pebble City section of the county where he was a successful farmer. He was happily married on 22 Dec 1912, to the former Mary Francis (Mamie) Parker and they celebrated their sixty-third wedding anniversary recently. One son, Henry Theron Burnett of Quincy, Fla., preceded him in death on 24 Apr 1963. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mamie Burnett; four sons, James H. Burnett of Camilla, Willis Burnett of Quincy, Fla., Buddy Burnett of Dublin, Ga. and Charles Burnett of Albany; two brothers, Douglas Burnett of Tampa, Fla., and Turner Burnett of Sale City; one sister, Mrs. W. H. Peacock of Perry, Fla. The Burnett family was very close knit and there are eleven grandchildren who survive. they are Kathy Burnett Hays of Baconton, Ga.; Patricia Burnett Clemmons of Columbia, S. C.; Martha Jane Huey Bateman of Houston, Tx.; Betty Burnett Suber of Quincy, Fla., Stanley Huey of Camilla and Gerald Burnett of Hosford, Fla; Lee Burnett of Meigs; Hank Burnett of Tallahassee, Fla; and Jeff Burnett. Mr. Burnett never liked for a family gathering to take place without his great grandchildren and he had thirteen in all who survive. They include Carol Lynn Clemmons of Columbia, S. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, 19 Mar 1991, at Southside Baptist Church with the Rev Greg Bird and the Rev N. B. Jordan officiating. Burial was in the Oakview Cemetery. Mrs. Cook was born on 27 Aug 1907, in Bethune, SC, the daughter of the late Jesse McCaskill and Amanda Moore. She was the widow of the late James Robert Cook. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Camilla. Survivors are two sons, James (Dick) Cook of Leary, and Robert Cook of Waycross; four daughters, Margie DeBary of Albany, Betty Costantion of Jacksonville, Fla., Jean Gay of Sylvester and Helen Edwards of Camilla; a sister, Elizabeth Allen of Camilla; 21 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Born in Mitchell County, he was the son of Nora Akridge and James Cook. He was retired from the ASCS and was a member of the Liberty Hill Baptist Church. He was also a veteran of World War II. He was married t the late Thelma Avery Cook. Survivors include one son, James D. Cook of Leesburg; two daughters, Cathy Abbott of Cairo and Betty Carr of Hinsonton and seven grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Earl Cook, Melvin Cook, Kendall Wilson, Raburn Avery, Randall Avery and Wallace Avery. Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham was in charge of arrangements.

The funeral of Mrs. Lena Hart Crosby, 84, of Camilla, who died Monday morning, 2 Dec 1974 at the Mitchell County Convalescent Center, was conducted Tuesday, 3 Dec 1974 at 3:00 PM from the Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev Edgar Davis and the Rev O. A. Collins officiated with interment in the Sunset Cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl Stewart, Tommy Peel, Lewis Holt, Brantley Collins, Charles Mathews and W. W. Kirbo. Mrs. Crosby was born in Mitchell County on 12 May 1890. She was the daughter of the late Simon Hart and Georgia Shiver Hart. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Camilla. She was a very active part of the nursery department of the church until her health began to fail. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. W. L. Hancock of Camilla and Mrs. V. T. Akridge of Newton and two sons, Julian Crosby of Camilla and Edgar Crosby of Newton. Also surviving are one brother, Dewey Hart of Whigham, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. W. V. Sloan of Pelham. Six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren also survive. Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services will be held this morning, Friday 19 Dec 1975, at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home in Camilla for Samuel Edward Crosby, age sixty-three, who died at his home late Tuesday, 16 Dec 1975, Rev Gene Roach, pastor of Southside Baptist Church in Camilla and Rev David Pickard, pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will officiate at the services and interment will take place in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Crosby was the son of the late Warner Crosby and the late Mary Shirah Crosby. A native of Mitchell County, Mr. Crosby was a retired farmer. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sarah Dekle Crosby of Camilla; two sons, Warner Crosby of Columbus and S. E. Crosby Jr. of Camilla; two daughters, Mrs. Christine Hanna of Albany, N. Y. and Mrs. Mary Frances Crosby of Baconton; three sisters, Mrs. Effie Wisham, Mrs. John L. Batterson and Mrs. Jessie Holton, all of Camilla and nine grandchildren.

Mrs. Eidson was born 28 Jan 1908, in Mitchell County, the daughter of Elias Rackley and Hortense Goolsby. She was the widow of the late Henry D. Eidson. Survivors include two sisters, Mildred Stewart of Jacksonville, Fla., and Elouise Mooney of Winter Park, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Lynn Autry, Grover Cleveland, Robert Rackley Sr., George Temples, James Wiley Palmer Jr., and Edwin Rackley Jr. Parker Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.

Obituary of Annice Fain Godwin as written in "The Albany Herald" dated 21 Dec 1988. Annice Fain Godwin, 83, of Meigs, died Sunday, 18 Dec 1988, at the Mitchell County Hospital. Graveside services were held at 3:00 PM Monday, 19 Dec 1988, at the Pelham Cemetery, with Dr. Woody Roberts officiating. Mrs. Godwin was born in Grady County, 9 Apr 1905, the daughter of the late Amziah and Gertrude Heape Fain. Her husband was the late Alex Godwin. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hand Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Steve J. Godwin of Meigs; seven daughters, Annie Simpson, Ophelia Davis and Nadine Faircloth of Pelham, Dreka Sanders of Albany, Pearl McGrall of Salem, Mo., June Hudson of Clearwater, Fla., and Penny Williams of Lutz, Fla.; 24 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Braswell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Obituary of Charles Lynwood Griner Sr. as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 24 Nov 1971. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, 21 Nov 1971, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church for Charles L. (Dick) Griner Sr., who died Friday afternoon, 19 Nov 1971, at the age of sixty-three after a lengthy illness. Officiating at the services was the Rev A. L. Brannen, Rev A. L. Davis and Rev Ernest Veal. Interment was in the church cemetery with Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home of Camilla in charge of arrangements. Serving as pallbearers were Donald Griner, Ralph Eubanks, J. I. Eubanks, Bill Eubanks, Hinton Reeves and Asa Branch. Acting as honorary pallbearers were Pat Crow, Frank Twitty, Albert Palmer, James Martin, Clovis Turk and E. M. Kelly. Mr. Griner was born in Colquitt County but had spent the greater part of his life in Mitchell County. His parents were the late C. G. Griner and Maude Weaver Griner. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Eubanks Griner; two sons, Charles Griner, Jr. of Camilla, and Ivey W. Griner of Tifton; two daughters, Mrs. Maryline G. Smith of Augusta and Miss Ava Griner of Camilla; one sister, Mrs. J. G. Crovatt of Camilla; two grandchildren.

Obituary of James Iverson Griner as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 7 Jan 1970. James Iverson Griner of Sale City died early Thursday 1 Jan 1970 at Vereen Memorial Hospital in Moultrie. He was 69. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, 3 Jan 1970 at the Sale City Baptist Church wit burial following in the Hartsfield Cemetery. The Rev Thomas Thorn officiated. The body will remain at a local funeral home until placed in the church one hour before the funeral service. Mr. Griner was born in Colquitt County on 1 Nov 1900. He was the son of the late Tom and Susie Taylor Griner of Colquitt county. He was a retired farmer. Surviving him are his widow, the former Miss Mattie Lou Causey of Colquitt County; two daughters, Mrs Helen Ware of Orlando, Fla. and Mrs. Betty Jean Land of Clearwater, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Bonus Bennett of Sale City; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Obituary of Helen Sarah Hall Hall as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 2 Aug 1989. Helen Sarah Hall, 68, of Newton died Friday morning, 28 Jul 1989, at her residence in Newton. Funeral services were held Monday, 31 Jul 1989, at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Newton with the Rev Lester Turley and the Rev L. A. Joiner officiating. Burial was held in Newton City Cemetery. Mrs. Hall was born 17 Feb 1921, in Franklin County, Georgia, the daughter of Wayne C. Hall and Elise Harber. She lived in Newton a number of years. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the Newton First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, C. Edwin Hall of Newton; Chuck Hall Jr. of Pasadena, Cal.; a brother, Harber Hall of Stone Mountain, Ga; and five grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jimmy Rhodes, Hall Goode, Kenneth Goode, James Goode, John Simmons, Kenneth Hall, Duane Hall and Lanier Jordan. Parker Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, 1 Jul 1989 at Oakview Cemetery in Camilla. He was born 1 Jul 1893, in Baker County, the son of Calvin A. Hall and Belle Culpepper Hall. His wife was Vista Coleman Hall. He was a retired merchant. Survivors are one daughter, Betty Lindstedt of Tifton, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Obituary of Lucy Palmer Harrell as written in "The Camilla Enterprise" dated 22 May 1991. Lucy Palmer Harrell, 86, of Camilla died Monday morning, 20 May 1991, at the Camilla Retirement Home. Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, 21 May 1991, at the Parker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev E. T. Davis and the Rev Harris Malcolm officiating. Burial was at Oakview Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kye Harrell, Mike Harrell, Smith Campbell, Scott Campbell, Andy Palmer, Joe Bostick Jr., Joe B. Adams Jr. and James Lee Adams Jr. Mrs. Harrell was a native of Mitchell County, the daughter of the late James Hilliard Palmer and Laura Twitty. She received her degree from the University of Georgia and retired from the Mitchell County School System in 1964. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the Camilla Garden Club. She was a member of the Camilla First Baptist Church. Survivors are husband, Ernest K. Harrell of Camilla; a son, E. K. Harrell Jr. of Tallahassee, Fla.; a daughter, Laura Ann Campbell of Atlanta; two sisters, Mattie Barker and Helen Bennett, both of Camilla; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Parker Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Harrell, Moultrie, were held Friday morning, 2 Mar 1973 in the First Baptist Church of Moultrie. Interment followed in Westview Cemetery with the Rev J. E. Moak officiating. Active pallbearers were Carl Maxwell, Ivey White, Noel Saunders, Ed Cagle, L. C. Manning and Carl Hasty. Mrs. Harrell died Wednesday afternoon, 28 Feb 1973 in Vereen Memorial Hospital following an illness of several weeks. The daughter of the Rev and Mrs. Albert Ott, Mrs. Harrell was born in Pelham on 3 Dec 1899. She was a member of Moultrie First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Frank Harrell of Moultrie; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Linder of Charleston, S. C. and Mrs. Hollis Sanders of Camilla; two brothers, Judson Ott of Fitzgerald and Kendrick Ott of Louisburg, N. C.; one sister, Mrs. Jean Garner of Sikeston, Mo.; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
